T-Shirts
Around the beginning of October I figured out TopatoCo was spending between $700-$800 UPSing stuff from Dr. T-Shirt's place to here, and that shit does not hold water. So I got me a roof rack for the top of my car and started driving down there once a week! It's a two hour round trip, and I like driving but don't hardly drive any more on account of riding that bike all the time now. A car is a good place to think of ideas and almost be dying at the same time.

So anyway that is what my car looks like when it's loaded light with about $10,000 in t-shirts and hoodies. I'm not sure exactly how legal it is (it is impossible to know whether actions are legal or not until you get caught doing them) but it's pretty safe. I think I can stick even more boxes on top if I get cocky and reckless. So yeah! If you order T-Shirts from TopatoCo there's a chance your shirt has ridden on top of my dang car and so far nothing has fallen off yet.

Yours is my favorite business to patronize, because I know my shit got to me in as rad a manner as possible from an online t-shirt company.

My favorite is the email confirmation. "Who is getting a shirt from TopatoCo? AMANDA! AMANDA is getting a shirt from TopatoCo!"

I will now cherish the shirts that may-or-may-not have been on the roof of your car.

looks to be about the size and shape and color of an "I am made of POISON" sticker. as for the one on the left... well, perhaps we will never know.

one does wonder, however, why the car appears to be parked in a flagrantly unparkable space. of course, the whole situation is difficult to make sense of, so perhaps those lines are something less prohibitive.

I think it might be "Republicans for Voldemort"

That makes me nostalgic for the years that I owned an Acura. It's amazing what you can stuff into an hatchback.

That's awesome! I wore your "Reading is Crazy" shirt underground on an archaeological dig in Israel -- I should email TopatoCo a pic for the Flickr. :)

You are not only awesome, and you drive an awesome, awesome car! (Car awesomeness = directly proportional to the number of big ass boxes what could be squoze inside.)

I can fit 5 big boxes in my awesome car now (http://tikistitch.livejournal.com/575504.html). Though, it's not quite as awesome as your car. Hats off to you, sir!

an idea?

(Link)

why don't you get a tow bar and a small trailer to tow behind your car?
you can find old trailers pretty cheap all over the place and you could transport heaps more boxes of tshirts (as you can stack them neatly in the trailer), maybe you could reduce the number of trips you do as a result.

Re: an idea?

If I fill my entire car, it gives three people enough to do for two full days. If we start doing enough volume to justify trailers, I can justify a Company Truck.

OMG CAN I DRIVE?

$700-$800 per month? Year? Duck fishing festival?

Also, your shipping company was using another shipping company to ship shipments? What the HELL, Mr Rowland. That is SHAMEFUL.
Irony is funny.

woohoo exciting! i am so pleased with how fast shirts get to Boston. I hope my new Mr Tusks rode on top of your car (which i ordered cause my old mr tusks had little bit of a problem in the laundry and got a little bit too small for me to wear which made me just a tiny bit super sad).

What about $10,000 in cell phone accessories?
Would that only double it?
[User Picture]From: [info]tymothytoastman
2008-10-30 05:29 pm (UTC)

(Link)

Yes, because we all know cell phone accessories lose half their value the minute you drive them off the lot.

Also nobody would want to buy a car at the blue book price if it previously held cell phone accessories
